Gommatex Poliuretani SpA. operates on the market for the production of polyurethane coagulated and coated articles for leatherwear, clothing and furnishings.
The raw materials needed for the production cycle consist of two main families:
Fabrics for spreading and coagulation, and chemical polyurethane based components.
The fabrics are purchased in accordance with the physical and mechanical characteristics that are to be respected by the finished product. In fact, the fabrics for coagulation (after being coated with polyurethane resin) will constitute the core of the finished product for footwear, whereas the fabrics used in spreading will constitute the reverse of the finished product in the production of articles for leatherwear or clothing. The chemical products, too, are purchased from firms supplying polyurethane in accordance with the physical-chemical characteristics that are to be respected by the finished product. The chemical form of the granules and supplied resins is, nonetheless, of polyurethane type.
